The Dragon Slayer
I went to driver.com and Mitsumi home page to downloaded new drivers. I tried both drivers and both didn't work. Window still used the driver provided by Microsoft. As a result, I can't see any pictures from my SD card in driveE. So, do I have to uninstall the window driver first before I run the setup file from the new downloads. Or, any suggestions? Thanks.
tenmm
The downloaded drivers should replace the Win drivers. If you right click on the drive in My computer what options do you get for drivers??
The Dragon Slayer
Sorry to say that it is still using the Microsoft driver even after running the setup of the new download. Any ideas?
JSKY
Try going into "Device Manager" find and remove the Win Driver and reboot. Restarting should pick the best driver. If it picks the Win Driver, try removing the old driver agian, then installing your newer one and see if that holds the new driver after a reboot.
The Dragon Slayer
Thanks, JSKY. But, I gave up on this. I probably got the NWEReboot on my startup by trying different drivers. I guess I have to use the HP software to read the SD card.
The Dragon Slayer
It was my mistake. XP does recognise this drive. I thought I did format the SD card; but I didn't. Once I format the SD card twice for good measure first before I take pictures. The flash reader part of the device works.
