intocomputing2
I'm looking for a webcam that an old A31 thinkpad can handle. The laptop has a 1.90 GHz processor and 768 MB of RAM, I have a headset, so a mic integrated on the webcam is not necessary at all, does anyone know of any that an old system like the one aforementioned can handle?Edit: Also I'd like to be able to get this laptop working with wireless internet access, what kind of peripherals does the laptop need to accomplish this? intocomputing2
Not a bad system. Virtually any webcam will work.Well I was checking some models, and then I found one model that seemed good enough, so I went to amazon.com to check on some reviews: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-QuickCam-De...5575&sr=8-1One of the reviewers said that you need a fast machine in order to use it, like a 2.4 GHz or a Core 2 Duo, this is exactly the kind of problem I'm trying to avoid, I don't want to purchase a camera and then later on find out that my computer becomes really slow because of all the excessive CPU usage.
