Matt
I have a Laptop and Desktop both running Ubuntu (8.04) connected to my wireless router. I'd like to mount, over ssh or similar protocol, a volume on my desktop so that I can easily access the files while using my laptop. I've heard that this is easy, I just haven't found out how to exactly do it.Thanks,Matt
shanenin
You will want to use NFS for that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_File_System_(protocol)http://nfs.sourceforge.net/nfs-howtohttp://www.ubuntugeek.com/nfs-server-and-c...-in-ubuntu.html

Sir_Siddy
If your disk is on a windows system you can just share it and then mount it using smbfs or cifs. Here is a great guide on ithttp://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=288534
