X-Cannon
I'm searching specs for a Toshiba laptop for my cousin, I cannot see a replacement battery for a model he likes, what are all the A205 models out right now. I believe he has the A205 S5815 there no listing of it in the A205 series but there is in the 215 series but the specs stat it has an AMD processor, the one looked up as an Intel processor. Can anyone help please
shanenin
I think many of the same models use the same batteryhttp://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?f...&category0=take notice of the XX00mAh value. The higher it is the longer the battery will last.

TheTerrorist_75
Toshiba's site doesn't list an A205 S5815 they show only a A215 S5815.http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/afin.toToshiba Primary 6-Cell Li-Ion Battery Pack Compatible with Toshiba Satellite A200, A205, A210, A215, A300, A305, A305D, L305, M200 and M205; Satellite Pro A200 and A210, L300, L300D series portable computers
X-Cannon
Yep it doesn't list it but any battery listing A205 and A215 should be okay.Oh, hey is there any way to format the HDD install XP (will have Vista) and get all the cool apps from Toshiba...Like the Wireless Signal Finder etc... Possible? Also when formatted where can one find drivers for mobo, cpu, ethernet, graphics etc... Edited May 3, 2008 by X-Cannon
shanenin
I have done a few Vista to XP down grades. Sometimes the manufacturer will have drivers listed for XP, more often then not, then don't. You can usually have good luck going to the chipset manufacturers sites. Usually with google you can track down the drivers.
