martymas Posted February 6, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 6, 2008 sorry i didnt explain the reason a friend has this new comptand all of a sudden it has started random shutdons ive check the temp but i havent had it to peices yet to daunting for mei thought this may be the reason as it shuts downafter it it has been running a while it hasent been apart so nothing has been touched internally so i presume it is soft warelike drivers ecti remember when the blaster worm was around it would shut down the compt and the command line was the fixbut ime off to read petes fix at g4 thanks team much appreciatedmarty Quote Link to post Share on other sites
martymas Posted February 7, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 7, 2008 some how i may have fixed this thingremembering years ago some one techtv said if you have shutdown problems try truning off your screen saversin this case as soon as the compt started the screen saver it went into standby i couldnt find the reason for this but i turned off the screen saver set the power options to neverand wiped the desk top picand so far so goodI HOPEWE WILL SEE AND ILE REPORT BACK AFTER A COUPLA DAYSMARTY Quote Link to post Share on other sites
