Honda_Boy
Well folks, I now shop online. Used to, if I ever wanted anything, I had to ask my parents to order and pay them back. Now I'm shopping online for myself. My first experience was through Best Buy a few months ago. I ordered the Onegai Teacher Box set cause I had a gift card, and I used my credit card to make up for the rest (like $5). A few months later, I order me a LaCie 500GB external Hard drive from Newegg.com using PayPal. Not but a few weeks ago I ordered Puni Puni Poemy and the box sets of Noir and Azumanga Daioh from ADV Films during one of their huge sales ($180 worth of DVD's for $98, heck yeah!).Well it hit me yet again the last coupla days. Since I lucked out so spectacularly, I ordered an Antec Nine Hindred ATX Mid-Tower case from Newegg.com Thursday. Originally $139.99 plus tax and shipping, it had an instant $20 rebate and free shipping. On top of that I got a promo code in the Newegg newsletter that took another $20 off making only $109.24 after tax and it shipped from Memphis so it should be here Monday. Then today, a girl at work gave me a Best Buy gift card. So bout half an hour ago, I ordered the special edition first volume of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (comes with a lot of extra stuff that for some reason I absolutely want).Man I like Internet shopping. I don't have to drive 45 minutes to get to the nearest Best Buy or Suncoast to get my DVD's anymore. If I want to just browse then I'm still gonna do it but if I have something in particular I want, then shoot, I can just order it now. Now driving there and getting it saves overall time but what I want may not be there. Plus, there ain't anywhere in this state that ever has the computer stuff I want for a decent price so it's always gotta come from Newegg.com. And now, I can order from Password JDM if I want some JDM parts for my car. Can't get that stuff anywhere else. Weaksauce Parts is kind of expensive and JDMSh!t has a lot of knock off stuff and you have to call to place orders so Password JDM is the place to get JDM parts.Just felt ya'll should know if anyone else would like to voice their opinion on Internet shopping then go right ahead. isteve
I'm a huge online shopper. Amazon, Musician Friend, Moss Motors and Ebay those four alone keep my paypal account busy. Matt
My dad thought that it would be a cool idea to make a documentary about going 30 days living only on Amazon.com. Absolutely everything had to be purchased from there. He shops online a ton. I don't much, as I don't have a credit card.
Honda_Boy
I try to shop more with PayPal cause my Credit Card is my Debit Card but of course, some places don't take it. For example: ADV Films and Best Buy don't use PayPal.
bar5
I shop on line A LOT, Amazon, Newegg etc. I don't charge anymore than what I can pay in a month. Not going to pay interest. Way too high. I don't have any stores near me except Walmart, and that is 35 miles away. They don't always have what I want.Just be careful who you are dealing with. Here is a site called "ResellerRatings.com" . You can check out most on line retailers, and than just use good judgement if they are not on list. I'm sure others will give you some more links. This is a good one to start with.ResellerRatingsHappy shopping Barb
Honda_Boy
Cause all I have is a Debit card and PayPal, I can't charge any more than I can pay I only buy stuff from reputable sites like Best Buy, Newegg, ADV Films, Rightstuf, Amazon, Password JDM, Weaksauce Parts, etc.
JDoors
I've been shoppinng online for years. I'm still occasionally surprised at what you can get online that would be nearly impossible to track down in any stores nearby. Back in the early eighties I got an LP that was one of those "perfect" albums, every song a gem. Well, that was before CDs came out, not every LP from back then is going to be released as a CD and I had about given up hope that this one would be (believe me, I looked). Lo and behold, on a hunch, I searched for the title. Amazon had it! A relatively obscure six-string guitar player's LP on CD. Perfect! And clothes! I'm a BIG guy and always seem to be two sizes larger than anything in the stores. I have to watch the racks all the time for the one or two items out of the thousands there that might be my size, half of those are always fugly (which explains why they're still on the rack), the remaining ones are, well, let's just say they're acceptable, at best. And if I want TWO? Like, two pair of slacks? Never -- EVER -- gonna happen. Online? It's ALL available in EVERY size ALL the time. I still buy socks from the local store, but NOTHING else (and I actually should be buying X-large socks, which stores don't carry, but in my experience the ones available online wear out too quickly). It makes little sense to buy household items online and have to pay for shipping and handling, but if that weren't an issue ... I would.

hitest
I shop on-line too a fair bit, Honda_Boy. I love it. I live in a small geographically isolated northern community. Our local merchants seem to think that they can gouge us for just about everything.

Honda_Boy
So I my brother gave me a $40 Best Buy gift card. If I was at home I would have already ordered something by now. Right now though, I'm at my brother's house jackin one of his neighbor's wireless. And dern it, my Antec Nine Hundred case was delivered right after my parents and I left. I checked my tracking and it said it was delivered at 10:43 and we left at like 10:35.
