sceeter32
Hi Again! Just wondering should I trust Microsoft updates to update my system driver like sound, modem, touchpad, etc?ThanksSceeter32
iccaros
if you are not using the driver from the manufacture, and are not upgrading through them, then I would use the MS driver. Its the Approved driver, but in the case of video cards my not be the "Best". but if its a matter of trust, no matter how bad MS has done in my eyes, I see no reason not to trust that the drive they push is stable and will not hurt your system
shanenin
I personally have had Microsoft updates mess up my video drivers on several occasions. I don't let Microsoft updates do drivers ever, if they are already working.
sceeter32
Thanks all I really don't trust Microsoft that much to update my video drivers ether. I guess other driver updates shouldn't be to bad. Again thank for your inputs guys & galsSceeter32
TheTerrorist_75
I always go to the manufacturers sites for driver updates. I have had the MS drivers hose systems.
Sleepylazy49ers
Today I went to windowsupdate.com and did a express check and it told me to update my drivers. I did update too.I noticed some of the font size or the size of the letters were smaller than normal.Did anyone get any weird thing happen.I also use Eraser and deleted unused disk spaces, not sure if that was it or not.
