TymeKyller Posted December 29, 2004 Report Share Posted December 29, 2004 Howdy everyone!!Hope everyone had a great Christmas and soon Happ New Year....Trying to help my brother format his pc, over the phone 1200 miles away...lol...We fdisk and deleted partitions and then restarted, at the command prompt he typed- format c: and it said unknown command or something like that.. I have no clue why it is doing this and just was wondering what I'm doing wrong? it is for windows 98....Thanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites

TymeKyller Posted December 29, 2004 Author Report Share Posted December 29, 2004 When he made the partition he said that it aked, if he wanted to use all of the space available on the disk and make the partition active. he said y and enter, so I'm pretty sure it is active...
