TheTerrorist_75
As posted at WindowsBBS.Here's a quick tool to see if your computer is ready for the early Daylight Savings Time this year. It was made by Jeff Williams at the University of Minnesota and uses JavaScript to detect patch status. A green circle means you should be good to go. Important applications that rely on time should probably still be checked manually as well.DST Patch Tester: http://dst.cdes.umn.edu

TheTerrorist_75
For you Windows 98 & ME users try the tips below to prepare your PC.Fix the Win98SE DST issue.Install the Windows 98 Resource Kit Tools from your Win 98 install CD. Insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive, navigate to the \Tools\Reskit\ directory and run the "setup.exe" file from there. This will install the "Sample Tools" kit and put an entry into your Start > Programs > Windows 98 Resource Kit.You have to use the Win98 version of the Time Zone Editor.Open the Tools Management Consule and under "Configuration Tools" double click the "Time Zone Editor".Click on your Time Zone (probably will be highlited)Click on "Edit"You can adjust your DST settings from here.Set Start Date/Time for Second Sunday in MarchSet End Date/Time for First Sunday in NovemberClick on OK and close your way out. That should do it. You can test it by changing your computer time to March 11, 2007, 01:59 AM, wait for one minute and the time should change from 02:00 to 03:00 and give you the notification that it has changed to DST. Don't forget to change your date/time back to current after the test. You could also try.Windows 98, ME DST Patch: http://www.intelliadmin.com/blog/2007/02/w...-dst-patch.htmlRead about other issues involving Outlook, Exchange and Java: http://www.intelliadmin.com/blog/2007/01/u...0-daylight.html Edited March 8, 2007 by TheTerrorist_75
