Switching Your Linux Systems To The New Dst

I found this article, it gives a howto on setting up your Linux box for DST.

running this command as root will let you know if your clock is set-up properly.

# zdump -v /etc/localtime | grep 2007

My boxes check out as okay, I'll find out on Sunday:-)

here in nz we have had daylight saving for thirty five years

so setting xp to day light saving wasent a problem

but when i insatlled ubuntu

i had lots of trouble

as it wouldnt load to the time factor

it also changed my day saving options

in xp

i didnt know what to do so in desperation

i changed my day light xp daylight savings

to our settings

and lo and behold

ime in

the trouble in ubuntu i couldnt find

any were to change am to pm

but once i set my xp settings it all fell into place

if you dont get the date and time right

you are in that stuff that we have to sit down for
