JSKY
Hi everyone...Been real busy for awhile. I kinda got caught in the fast lane. Things have been moving way to fast. Seems like no time for anything, and a million things going on here.Where to start...I had a change of jobs. They kept calling me until they made it worth my while to change. So that started everything. Things started moving faster and faster. Not sure if I'm cut out for this type of life. I'm more of a laid-back person. Then with getting in firewood for the winter and home repairs. That seemed to take up every other second. I only had personal time on the PC for short amounts of time. So I've been just doing e-mails.Got some free time and started to check things out and realized it's been forever that I made it anyplace online. I have to say "Happy Birthday" to everyone's birthday I missed. Hope you all had a good one.We already had snow here. 6 inches of the stuff two weeks ago. And last weekend over 7 inches of rain fell. Strange weather for this time of the year. But not for my area....LOL.I could go on with everything. But I don't want to start a book here....LOLI will try to make it more often. Because I miss my old friends here.

thesidekickcat
Welcome back JSKY, we have missed you!!!Congratulations on the new job, remember to take time to deep breathe every now and then, to de-stress from "the fast lane".Hubby will soon be looking for a new job too. Got caught in the ongoing Intel layoffs, but gets a good severance package that will sure help out. Hard to think about a new job at his age...just turned 63. Had hoped to stay at Intel until he retired. Sure hope and pray something good turns up for him. He likes to keep busy, but with falling off a ladder on Labor Day he hasn't been able to do much. Nothing broken but lots of sore muscles that spasm whenever he moves wrong way. Was off work the first week which is so unusual for him to take sick leave, then trying to go back to normal work activity wears him out more than it used to after mishaps when younger. Then to find out he is one of the many to be shoved out the door didn't do much to boost his morale. Sigh! We will make it though with God's help.I hope you find time to come by for a break now and then, we miss seeing your posts!!!Pat, I hope you also find a job that you will enjoy with good pay and good benefits too!!!PatGod bless everyone

irregularjoe
Hi JSKY.I remember bringing in the cordwood when I was back in New England. Definately hard work. It's 96 degrees out here in Phoenix aka Hell, so I guess that means the seasons are changing from hottest to just hot. My friends are now completely moved into their "cabin" at Spearfish Canyon and are really enjoying it. Still no broadband though. I might go up there in the Spring. So what's your new job about?Joe

JSKY
Hi again everyone;More snow here. And in the 20s during the day. WAY TO EARLY!!!!! Joe. I work on slot machines. And computers. I am a slot manager. I do all the work on slots, plan how they will be placed on the casino floor. Check the numbers and decide if they need to be converted to a new type. I keep the machines tied to the computer system. Yes slot machines and computers go hand in hand. We can tell how much money goes in, how much is payed out, who is playing then at any time. (if they use a players club card). We can track all of this for over a year. I know all the numbers and decide how to proceed from there.I am also a supervisor of the casino. It was the same type of job I was doing at my old place of work. Just more money at the new place. But now I have met what seems the right people. And things sometimes get quite hectic. Even found the wife and myself going to fancy plays in some of our opera houses to meet with and plan thing. This is not my normal way of life by far. But for now I can play the games. Well now to read and catch up on some of the postings I've missed out on.
JDoors
.... I am a slot manager. ... I am also a supervisor of the casino. ... Well now to read and catch up on some of the postings I've missed out on. Uh-oh. I also work at a casino, but in a non-managerial position. I better go back and check my posts in case I said something incriminating ... Edited October 14, 2006 by JDoors
