President Obama Working To Solve The Jewish Problem.
hitest replied to sultan_emerr's topic in World and Politics
I disagree. As someone who is keenly interested in American politics I would argue that the converse is true. Saber rattling is a thing of the past. President Bush's tough-talking Texas machismo did nothing to forward the interests of the USA. If anything it made you (The USA) a laughing stock with the international community. In my opinion I think President Obama is doing a good job with reaching out to mainstream Islam. The people who are of the Islamic faith are not the enemies of the USA. The extremist nut-jobs are your enemies. I find it refreshing that you have a President that is -

Finally got around to trying FreeBSD 7.2. Installed it to a spare partition on my Dell Pentium D. Had some problems identifying the USB keyboard and mouse while in KDE. I fixed the issue by manually enabling hal and dbus which for some odd reason are not enabled by default in FreeBSD 7.2. FreeBSD 7.2, KDE 3.5.10.

Hey bozodog, Pete_C:-) Thanks for posting in the thread. Pete_C: Yeah baldness has it's advantages. Haircuts are pretty quick:) BTW, folks you don't need to post your picture. I just thought it would be kinda cool if we got to know each other better. Many of us have been here for years. You could post a bit about yourself: hobbies, personal appearance, etc.

Okay. Yes. I'm old.....at least that's what my 14 year old daughter tells me. I think 51 is a good age. This is my mug shot:-) So what do you look like?
-
Agreed. A friend of the family recently gave me an older Compaq running an AMD 850 MHz, with 320 MB RAM. It had Win ME and was unusable. This isn't the fault of the OS, but, rather the previous owner as Win ME was loaded with malware, etc. I'm setting the unit up with Debian 5.0 for my 6 year old daughter. It runs well.

A blonde walks into a electronic store and asks the manager, "Can I buy that TV" "No" "Why not?" "Because you're a blonde." So the blonde goes out and dyes her hair red. She returned to the electronic store and said, "Can I buy that TV?" "No" "Why not?" "You're a blonde." So the blonde goes and shaves her hair off and returns to the electronic store and says, "Can I buy that TV?" "No" "Why not?" "You're a blonde" "How can you tell I'm a blonde, I dyed my hair red, then shaved it off!" "Because that's not a TV, that's a microwave!"

A plane is on its way to Detroit when a blonde woman in economy class gets up and moves into an open seat in the first class section. The flight attendant watches her do this, and politely informs the woman that she must sit in economy class because that's the type of ticket she paid for. The blonde replies, "I'm blonde, I'm beautiful, I'm going to Detroit and I'm staying right here." After repeated attempts and no success at convincing the woman to move, the flight attendant goes into the cockpit and informs the pilot and co-piolet that there's a blonde bimbo sitting in first class who ref

This blonde decides one day that she is sick and tired of all these blonde jokes and how all blondes are perceived as stupid, so she decides to show her husband that blondes really are smart. While her husband is off at work, she decides that she is going to paint a couple of rooms in the house. The next day, right after her husband leaves for work, she gets down to the task at hand. Her husband arrives home at 5:30 and smells the distinctive smell of paint. He walks into the living room and finds his wife lying on the floor in a pool of sweat. He notices that she is wearing a ski jac

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it, Matt! I think I'm going to wait until Slackware64 is officially released ( should be in about 1-2 months) I'm happy that Slackware is moving to adopt new technology.
-
It is official. Slackware now has a 64 bit version in -current. I will finally be able to run an official 64 bit version of Slackware when 13.0 is released. http://www.slackware.com/index.html
