  1. well the weird thing is that when i tried to install it the first timei put it in the CD drive and i got an "a problem occured when trying to copy eauninstall.exe" (or something) then when i tried to install from the DVD drive and in safe mode, and i got past the DISC 1 error, but got the same error but with a different file on DISC 2. so im not sure what to do. i got virtual CD but it was to confusing so i uninstalled it

  2. i bought a copy of NFSMW and everytime i try to install it i get an error saying "an error as occured when trying to copy blah blah blah...." the first time it was on CD one and this was in my CD drive, so i went into safe mode and tried to install from my dvd and i got to the second dic and got the same error but on a different file, EA support dosent really give specific answer but i did clear my temp and end some processes and i even went into safe mode, so im not sure what it is other than i need a new version of installshield, any other tips?

  3. ok so i FINALLY got my internet back...i had to reformat again. so my comp came with Nortan Anti-Virus so i got the live updates....then i had to restart. when i came back i could not connect to the internet....no i had to do the same thing all over again. why does this happen? this is such an inconvienence. any help?

    oh and another thing....

does this mean i won't have my internet after the "lease expired" date?

  4. and it was a pain in the ass. it came with a binch of pins that were only 2 prongs and had "hdd" "power sw" "reset" ect and i had to read on the mother board where these go, and as i am posting i still dident get it right. there is a "XION" text that lights up, and also the button on the front is supposed to light up, which it dosent. and there is a blue LED fan on the side that ligts up, which it dosent. so i dont really know what to do. it has 3 fans and i set them up like one connecting to the other and the last one connectin to the PS like i am supposed to(i think) and i can hear the fans, but can not see which ones are spinning because it is tucked into this stupid stupid space next to my desk. i am taking it apart anyway tomorrow to install my graphics card, oh god...i cant wait for that. props to you people that do this for a living, i couldent. its to much of a hassel and i get pissed to easily :D

EDIT: i just looked at the 3 fans and none of them are spinning...what did i do wrong? every fan had one 4 prong do-dat that looked like it fit into the power supply, so what i did was attach one into the other, into the other until i made one huge circuit which i thought would work...andone know how to get this to work? thanks.

EDIT x2: i just moved the little pins around and realizved i never attached the fans to the PS  so when that was fixed my baby lit up blue and came to life....the cool part, is that its never been so quite

  5. its a HP a320n...im to worried about this because i am getting a nvidia 6800 OC for my birthday in 13 days...so i dont really care. but when i tried to play AOEIII i could bareley read the text..it was all blocky and i was missing some things during the game. this is just one of many problems i have been having with this and valve since i installed my new ram to 1gig. but i installed AOEIII today...and it ran so much worse than when i got the demo when it came out. i mean, i could actually see stuff in the demo.

  6. so i have all these comp games and with most of them i get a warning that my drivers are out of date. so i go to update and i dont know what version i have. the sticker on the front of my comp says geforce 4 MX...but then AOEIII said nforce2......and there is no nforce 2 in the nvidia driver update page. so i went to run dvdiag to save my info and this is what it said.

    ---------------

    Display Devices

    ---------------

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX Integrated GPU

    Manufacturer: NVIDIA

Chip type: GeForce4 MX Integrated GPU

    DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC

    Device Key: ***

    Display Memory: 64.0 MB

    Current Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz)

    Monitor: hp mx703 Color Monitor

    Monitor Max Res: 1280,1024

    Driver Name: nv4_disp.dll

    Driver Version: 6.14.0010.4403 (English)

    DDI Version: 9 (or higher)

now....what the hell do i choose for the driver update on nvidia's page? i have no idea.

p.s. when i try to check for WHQL in the dxdiag i get the "windows can not load device installer..blah blah" ....and i dont know why.

    thank you.

  7. A. The principal differences between the competitor’s multi-GPU solutions and ATI’s CrossFire are:

    a. CrossFire can enable multi-GPU rendering on all applications.

    b. CrossFire supports more rendering modes. Supertiling evenly distributes the workload between the two GPUs to improve performance. CrossFire can use multiple GPUs to improve image quality rather than performance with Super antialiasing (AA) modes. Supertiling and SuperAA modes are only supported on the CrossFire platform.

    c. CrossFire is an open platform that supports multiple components and graphics cards that can be mixed and matched in a single system. Competitive multi-GPU solutions are constrained to supporting identical graphics cards

you can find more info on CrossFire http://www.ati.com/technology/crossfire/faq.html (im having problems puttin in links sorry)

  8. hi again, i was wondering what specifies a ATX mobo? or a baby AT or a microATX....i am buying a new case and i need to find out what mine is to see what case i need to get, my comp is a pavillion a320n, i cant find anything to specify what mine is. thank you all.

  9. i know i know i have been posting threads askin for a lot of help, but i have a few questions that would be a huge help if you answered for me

ok, first question: should i trust this site here because i found some really good deals, but i am not sure if i should trust this site

also from that site i found 2 items i would like to buy but i dont know if i should, one is this...now will this work on a HP pavillion a320n? and also is this a prooly made PS, or do you think it will work

lastly, i found this and i was wondering if i should get this, is it a good deal? it seems like it, it was either that, or this

and i cant decide because the first one dosent look like it has a heat sink...

thanks again (sorry for making all these threads  )
