Another day, another Space Terragen Blue Space-Gen

Reminds me of Dune Well after finding some new Photoshop brushes I've been experimenting, mostly making forum sigs (can view here if you'd like) but I tried out a "Space Terragen" using one of my old Terragen renders. Haven't messed with TG2 in a long time and don't really feel like trying to learn it so I'll stick with TG1. Blood Space

Awesome, is that Terragen 2? I wish I could... A) Figure it out Render an image in a decent amount of time... I waited about a half hour and barely rendered a small corner of the sky... I really need to upgrade... Hi SN3AK..... Yes I'm using Terragen 2 Preview (Free version). At this point with the free Preview version it will only render at 800x600 limit and less. Also if I go for a high quality render and depending on how much I add to the image I'm working on, render time can be very long. I found a way to use a quicker lower quality setting as I go along to see what things will look like

New Terragen, something I haven't done in awhile. the click Previous file was a .bmp at 4 MB so I had to convert it to .jpg. Also, it took about 20 minutes to render, and 3 seconds after I saved it and closed Terragen the power in my house went out. Lucky me.

I downloaded some text for use in photoshop but they didn't explain where to put the text so that I may use it in photoshop. It's a .ABR file by the way.

Alright well I've got an Intel Mobo and CPU in a spare computer I'm building. The CPU fan (Thermaltake) on it was extremely loud so I wondered if maybe I could take the Thermaltake heatsink and fan from my old AMD and set it in place of the Intel heatsink and fan. I realize I can't be sure if it's in the right place on the chip so I'm not sure if that will create issues. I tried booting up and looking at the Fan speed in the Bios the AMD fan ran about 4800 RPM and kept it around 70 C, the Intel fan however ran about 6500 and kept it around 85 C so I figure the AMD fan is better even though it'

I don't know about system restore, but safe mode does the same thing but the background is black with the "safe mode" in the corners, can't right click background, no taskbar. I've tried ending explorer.exe and running it again but that didn't work. By the way My Documents pops up everytime we reload explorer.exe.

Windows XP Home After bootup the icons, and taskbar don't load and the desktop is unclickable. Will have the owner download HJT log for posting tomorrow. Any ideas on what to do for now?

Me, I just messed with settings and figured out what does what. If like you want to change the sky color go to Atmospheric Settings and change the 3 things Decay Red, Atmospheric Blue and something else. That's about all I've been doing. I wanna know where to get a plug in to make trees and ice on the terrain.

Wow ... What a difference! Is Terragen easy to use right off the bat, or did you get THAT good that fast? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uhm.... Maybe a little of both? I've been messing around a bit more but I can't figure out how to do different colors and such. All I've been able to do is play with the sun and lighting effects and stuff.

OK, Finally figured out how to get rid of the Bit Torrent folders on my desktop so it's now completely clean. I then downloaded Terragen and tried to figure it out. I messed around a bit and came up with this Clicky How do you get the different colors and stuff on Terragen?

I'm guessing you guys use photoshop for this stuff? Is there any way to get a free download of an older version of photoshop?

lol Here's my newest desktop. I tried to get rid of everything but while downloading some bittorrents it automatically puts My Videos and BT Downloads on my desktop. Is there a way to get rid of recycle bin?

Cleaned it up I guess I'll get used to using my start button.... All the folders I had before I just put in one folder as you can see.

A breakthrough!!! or is it? I found out that by sitting the case upright as it should be makes it freeze, while setting it on it's side unfreezes it.... I have 2 screws on one side of the hard drive so I'm wondering if maybe that's the problem that when it's upright the hard drive tilts down and shorts or something. When set upright it will boot up till Windows XP with the blue loading bar then freeze. I know the motherboard is on right not touching in of the metal below, fans are fine, shouldn't be overheated or anything. All the cables are as they should be.
