In Temecula, South California. the hwy speed limit is 55, everyone went 70 to 90 on the far left lane. Even the cops are doing it too. and me too. 55 is slow for highway in california. the semi trucks is a different story, they going 50......

HEy guys, it been like 3 days with my MacBook, and im still loving it. haha.
I already got my Office and installed it. I tired to install OpenOffice but the problem is it required X11 to work. I went to apple.com and they told me to download this X11 project. so i am downloading it and need to torrent download OO.o again....
i love their .dmg system, it really great. Just move the icon to the apps folder and it will install it for you. some already have it own installers like Office and OO.o
Now off to exploring the world of mac
AMEND: i just found out i aready have X11 installed..... but i forgot to use the .pkg to install the OO.o. stupid of me. now i cant torrnet download oo.o because im on the school network and it will violated their TOA. so will do that at home
I went to Frys to buy flash drive. and got Corsair Flash Voyagar 1GB, it should be 50 bucks but it on sale and reduce to 35 bucks. but i will get it at 15 bucks with rebate. woot woot. what a deal! that the main reason why i like Frys, everyweek, they have something on sale. now i am enjoying my flash drive. hhahahahaha

played WOW before. 37 SM/Ruin Undead Warlock, 25 Undead Forst Mage, 44 Undead Shadow Priest. as you see, im a spellcaster person. i dont know why. m brother played those before and didnt like it, so he played a warrior and love it. i stopped play that game because too much talent reviews, i dont mind them but too many players keep complaining about Deathcoil is overpowered which it is not. Warlock is the hardest class to play in WOW. 2nd is rogue, not easy to master that stunlock. IF warlock dont have pet, then Rogue will be the 1st, but now warlock is 1st because you have to manage the pet skill and your warlock skills at the same time. Surely UI will do but some mods that WOW just blocked...... like AutoCast, d*** those Blizzard.
Mac, if you played more than 6 months, you will realize the real Blizzard. the proves is in the forum.
For now, i rather Second Life, it interesting than Sims. and for gaming.... Hellgate: London, let see how that games doing. Should be fine because Hellgate: London is the same thing as in Diablo. or let wait for Blizzard start suing.....

The sharing is already disabled. but why am i still seeing my shadows-computer.local is still there on my Network in Explorer (You know, Mac Version of Window Explorer, not sure what the name for mac, finder?)?

I never allow sharing of my HD to the public when i found out today. I connected to my college public network. and it required my ID and my password to use their network. So i did and it conencted but one thing. i found out when i went to Network and click on Server and found my shadows-computer.local there and i click on it and found out all my data is shared. iim freaking out about this. i cant find a option to turn off the sharing. I already looked in my Mac Help and im not getting any info from it.

im so shocked about this. What am i doing is trying to get my photo working in my Front Row, it not that easy. So i thought it use iPhoto to work it, but the problem is i cant put my file in new folder i created in iPhoto, it keep staying in Library, i dont want that. i want it in my newly created folder in my iPhoto, my god. it so stubborn. it works fine two years ago without a problem. or maybe there is something that i miss.
Please help me with this, i just want my photo to be in Front Row. Is there a way to do it. thanks for your help
And Yes i finally got my macbook today and everything is right as i did with my school eMac with OSX Parnter. it should be the same as Tiger, hopefully. so need help with this badly. thanks for your help

it amazing how Sony screw this up. They are stuck with this because they alreadyhave a contract that require them to recall it. So therefore, they are screwed.
They already lost 20 million dollars (or is that 200?) for recalling. It a good thing for Dell, Apple and IBM to team up to come up a new batteries that work with all laptop without the evil exploding of hell. Sony stocks is still going down due to this batteries problem, lawsuits, delays with PS3, BMG rootkits and Blu-Ray delays
When i got my laptop, i will check my battery to see if it from sony, if so. I still use it but when Apple, Dell and IBM released their own battery, im getting it. im not taking the risk of exploding battery. even my MacBook Pro is covered for 3 years warrenty

i ordered a Mac Edition Office. got it for 100 dollars with rebate. i have reason. im very comfortable with my OpenOffice, but again, REASON!
OO Impress..... it have more problems than Powerpoint do. the Animation didnt work well if i save it as in MS format, and the font entirely messed up. that goes for some OO.o apps. so im use Mac Edition Office for backups.

Im proud to accounce that i will be the proud father of MacBook Pro by next week. I just started college today and really need a laptop. I know there is many people who hate Mac but again, i pick Mac for a reason. Mac is great with graphical and movie editing. So i am the Art major.
I should wait to get that Leopard but i have no time and really need a laptop, so i will upgrade my Tiger to Leopard when it come out. So excited right now.
but Question...... Should i get a Office Mac Edition or just get OpenOffice? Let you know, on my pc, my default office is OpenOffice and never have a problem with it. but again, in College... im taking a English class, there will be a lot of essay going on. So im lending on OpenOffice, what you think? And Why?

I use both ff and opera and like both of them. Just as long as I dont have to use IE I'm happy

The scroll wheel doesnt work in FireFox for tab-switching.
There a extesion for it. Tab Mix, TBE and TBP have a ability to do that. im not sure, i dont use the feature.
FF has extensions but nowhere near as coolIt didnt need to be cool. it only ability is functionability. If it works, then it works. that all i need from extension.
Bittorent supportDont need BT supported web browser. I rather clients, clients have more functionability than web browser does.
Releasing memory sets? I checked the latest version, it doesnt and was highlighted by ZDnet.com when they were reviewing ie7, which does it.I never noticed it and never complain about it. it didnt affect me. IE is embedded in Window. that the reason why it does well with window when IE is minimized.
Opera is smaller.. and includes a mail client while its at itTrue. and i dont need a mail client. I have Gmail and i use Google Personalize Homepage. and i use my sidekick as a email client with Gmail's pop/ssl. I hate to use email client.
all i need a functionabiliy/flexiblability/customability browser and that is Firefox.

Im Backkkkkkkk. Jeez, this week is hellish. Staffs get all cranky, reason why... the activites is too boring, it the same thing every year and cause too much problem to me and the rest of the staff. we have to keep the children happy. so i called a meeting last wed and told everything to the Admins (They are very flexible and they like a family to us, a bros and sis) I told them the staffs and i are about to quit the camp because of this bad emotions around camping. and told them the activites is too boring. the camp never provides a water cooler for children. it just silly. many kids complained about they need water. After that meeting, it changed. amazing, one voice can change everything. i didnt expect that to happen. after that wed, we totally have fun. thanks to me for that. if i never had that meeting, we would quit before friday.
Again, it was the board's fault. they keep saying no for some of the activites. like no water fight, it not really a fight but it just a game to have fun and keep us cool. so after that mtg, they ignore everything what board told us. They never think of the children and the staffs. they keep thinking about the legal problems that they can be sued for it. but that nev er happens. i know parents want their children to have fun, no matter what the cost, no matter what happen, just have a safe fun. and we did. so our morals went high after that mtg. amazing.

good thing one of my dog love water, everytime i water a plant, he just bark at it and hope to get his fur wet. he just love a cold water, chasing water hoping to get all water. i just spray at him today and he really enjoy it and went inside the house, he was ruining the carpet as usual, he trying to "dry" himself.
my other dog, great dane, scared of water..... he dont mind to chase the water but very very picky to get wet. he 2 years old, still have that kiddie mind as always. sometime he just act retarded, it what make him sooooo cute at it. If it the rain, he dont mind to get wet, but if it water from a hose or anything, he wont allow himself to get wet. such a strange dog but WHO CARES i love him so much.

For now, the heat wave is not that bad in San Diego/North County area, i believe it was about 85 degrees for two days, thanks to our wonderful mother nature who really cares about human and formed a cloudly shield around us

I already use my own method that really works so well for me.
I always close all blinds to prevent heat getting in. At night, i have 5 box fans, and i hang them on the window and put all on high to put the cold air in the house. Then at the morning, i turn off the fan and close the window and close the blinds then the cold air stay in the house throughtout the day. it really save a lot of money this way. For dryer (thank god i use natural gas dryer), i use the dryer at night because during the day, that where the energy bill go up while at night, it goes down because less people using it.
For Computers, we have CRT, i know it took so much but for now it all we can afford. But im very strict with CRT, if anyone is not in the room, turn off the moniter, dont leave it to sleep, it will waste energy. just turn it off, it help that way.
Actually, the cold shower adds extra body heat. when you take a cold shower, your pores close up, which doesnt allow the heat to excape from you body, so the body temperature up a little, makiong you feel even more hot.but a hot shower, it opens up the pores, letting even more heat excape from your body. making you feel less hot, and more comfortable. but i would take a shower not as hot as normally, but still a little bit hot.

I live in Japan. Yesterday we went to my friend's house and he had left his door open for four hours while we were gone. Wide open! You could see from the street that the door was open.
Everything was inside - laptop, tv, dvd, sound system, keyboard, guitar, money on the table - EVERYTHING.
Who wants to make a bet on what would happen if he had done that in the States?
We do not really need to lock our doors, and I feel safer here than I ever felt in the States.

my friend in california, they left their house unlocked when no one is the house. every room in the house is unlocked waiting for robber to take the chance, but it never happen, lucky them, they does this everyday. but ofc the car must be locked

I lives in Southern California and i know the California Blackout of 2001, it not that funny. Blackouts in mutli-area, it went on for a week. it this horrible heat wave happening in the summer. Good thing i went to the beach with my friends. and the ocean is ICY COLD but it satify me because of this heat wave.
We almost on Stage 3 this afternoon, allllllllmost. but lucky we didnt.

I know we all should converse the energy, but it this horrible heat wave, we all cant stand it, it baking 110 degress outside. Everyday, i already took a COLD shower. but everyone i talks with use a hot water, what the heck! it baking 110 degree outside, who need that kind of extra heat in the body.

it not that hard in america, it a small world and we like family. it the way of deaf culture is. we meet the deaf person, we become the family because it like 1 deaf out of 200 hearing people in america.
and im getting ready for north camp from two week from now and will be gone for a week. it great fun for kids and staff also. but again, most of the kids is not very knowledgable about deaf culture, because they goes to hearing school when the deaf culture is no longer appiled in there.
