Great, it work great. i updated the window that need. So i was about to update the laptop to SP1, it was in the process of downloading until 8% and it stopped and give me a result of error, 80070001 i believe. So i went to MSKB to check it out and it asked me to clear out the Window Update cache, so i did and went to download Sp1, the same result, it stopped at 8% then give me a error again.

Hello everyone, i been trying to get Vista Home Premium to download the window updates, but it just stuck at 0%, 0 KB. I been searching Google for information why it not downloading anything. One of the forum said it related to error problem and preform a error-checking maintance and i already did that and it still not downloading anything. I have Fujitsu Lifebook A Series with Vista Home Premium (not sure if i have SP1 installed, already check the System information, it just said Vista Home Premium). Already check for virus and spyware. a clean bill of health.

sadly i dont have any laptop drive around. how i go with the slow method? a slow method of Dban or format in NTFS without a quick format? Is there way for SMART to flag a bad sector, i did run chkdsk /r cmd, it said everything is fine, no errors, but i know there is a few of them

DBAn stop the process at 86%, so i went to clean install Window XP and it working flawlessly so far, done a couple of restart and it always boot to XP. i check the SMART status, it said it in a normal health. I have a few problem trying to do something in XP. 1. Dell Drivers and Utilities CD is c**p, i cant get anything to work, i extract some files that need to work but ended up saying that it need a Disk 1, but it in the CD rom, i dont understand why it asked me that. i just run DBAN it was going fine until it stopped by a bad sector in the HDD, i knew HDD do have some bad sector, i did to repair bad sector through MS-DOS, but it just frozed while trying to repair, so DBAN just told me to send the log file with all the support request, but i dont have access to Window since it wont let me access. so is there a program that allow me to repair bad sector? or other way? Let me tell you story of what happen. my ex-roommate (a idiot when come to fixing PC and OS X) trying to get some GB back that XP been using. It a 38GB HDD. Jeff (ex-roommate of mine) just did something so stupidly, he somewhat access the Windows File and decide to delete those files like and .exe files. yes that right, you heard me, he remove any .exe file he see in Windows folder. he told to my friend, "Any .exe file you see is a VIRUS!"

there one problem, my friend laptop is using Xp Media Center Edition. so MS site not showing any MCE version, just Home and Pro version.

and few more thing i want to say. i just rerun Combofix the second time to get the log. but when i double click combofix, it running and told me scanning for infectious file, then the cmd prompt disappeared and the combofix.exe ended quickly like in 2 sec. and there is no txt file also for me to post

hello guys, my friend been complaining about his laptop keep getting too much popups ads and his computer been slowing down. so i went to his laptop and installed Ad-aware and Spybot, and able to remove most of it (over 300 spywares.......) and ran a AVG AntiVirus and it clean. then installed SpywareBlaster. One thing i having problem is the hosts file. my macbook is in Apple Store for repairs. need to replace the optical drive. Yes, i done those things, even i reinstall OSX, i wipe my HDD clean and clean install OSX, the eject button still have issue. must be related to optical drive. Never mind about everything, im going to send this Macbook Pro back to Apple Store to get it repair. i already got a issue with eject button not responding to OSX, Boot Camp refused to see Window Xp there (even the XP CD is already in the drive and it on my desktop), the burner refuse to burn media files but can burn anything than a media files (more specific to mp3). And my Warranty is about to expire soon next month or Aug, so i really have to send this today, right away.
