Love your dogs, they're gorgeous. Anyway, thanks for the reply-it works for now, we shall see if it stays that way. I used to have FF as default, don't know what changed it. No, I don't have Zone Alarm, I traded it in for Comodo, which I like alot better. Thanks again...

Temp. Internet File Question
CsrLiz344 replied to CsrLiz344's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
See, that's the thing. I can't remember how to get to the TIF... -
This might sound wierd, but I'm not sure how to word it correctly. I remember in Win. 98, there was a way to go into your temp. int. files, and drag something out (such as a wav that you had listened to), and save it. For some reason, (age most likely), I can't remember how to do it-and if it's the same in XP. Anyone know?

I took your advice. Thanks!!

Ok, apparently both my pc's received the d/l for this. My daughter came down yesterday and said the one upstairs could not access the internet. I have a temp. cast on for a broken foot, and didn't feel like messing with it at the time. Then this morning I came down here, tried to check my mail and could not connect. Saw there was an update to be installed, ignored it. Called ATT, he told me to turn off Zone Alarm, cause the new update was prolly sp3, and after I did, the internet came back. What is it that makes ZA being on not able to connect? The router I have has a firewall on it, but I a

Just got a call, said they had a message pop up about AVG costing money after 5/31. I haven't seen it yet, but it seems AVG 8.0 will cost $54.99.. Guess I'll move to Avast.

Ok, now it's totally dead, so I can't do anything. DH lost his job 3 weeks ago, so if it is the power supply, I'm just gonna take out the hard drive, add it to this one, and give the rest away.
-
That has happened before withthis one. The motherboard has actually been replaced twice-once from the original power supply, and the second time from the replacement which was bad, so they re-replaced it free. But, then it didn't come on at all, so I'm not thinking that's it. I'm gonna take it apart and clean it, see if that helps before I move on to the rest of the suggestions.

I searched, and didn't find a match. emachines, XP sp2 After only being on for a few minutes, it just shuts down. Will not turn back on unless I pull the power cord from the back and let it sit for at least 30 seconds-then it shuts back down again. Suggestions/ideas??

XP Home, e-machines I installed Magicjack, which got glowing reviews (www.magicjack.com). Anyway, the pc ran fine, never a problem after installation. BUT, when I rebooted, after the e screen, where the Bios setting and Boot settings are, it goes nowhere. I have to go into the Boot settings, and click on the first line (ST something) to get back to the welcome screen. If I don't, it goes to a black screen with a flashing cursor thing in the top left corner. It will beep when I push any button at all. It was by accident I figured out how to get back to the welcome screen, since I don't mess w

I was typing real fast yesterday, and apparently hit keys that took away my tool bar. If I put my cursor to the top of the page, it comes up, but then disappears when I move it. I've never done this before, but I need my toolbar, for the addy bar and my faves, etc. How do I get it back??? In IE 7

Ok, here is the new report. She says it seems to be working, she clicked on 3 or 4 links, and they connected. Thanks Ryan, unless there is something else you see..... Hello? Anybody home?

Whenever she clicks on any link, she gets redirected. She updated Spybot and Adaware, ran both, and removed what they showed It still does it. Does anyone see anything here that will do a page or link hijack?? Is that what it means? On the Microsoft support, it made it sound like my pc was restricting it. And, no, I have done nothing-I just give them money....

Uninstalling Windows Media Player 11
CsrLiz344 replied to CsrLiz344's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Yes, I'm thinking what was posted about CCleaner is what wiped it out, as I use that. If I reinstall it, you think it will put it back in? -

Uninstalling Windows Media Player 11

The only thing that applies is the very last paragraph-I don't know if I missed it, or it wasn't on the directions that were given to me. Anyway, how do I put this ($NtUninstallwmp11$) back in? -
I really hate it, I want to go back to 10. I do as it says to do-go to control panel, click show updates, click on media player 11, when it asks if u want to rollback, I say yes, next screen click OK. It takes about 4 seconds to tell me it's done, doesn't ask me to reboot. I do anyway, and it's still there-uuugghhh!!! What can I do to get rid of this thing??????
