    video card maybe? I don't know. i try EVERY possibility with this one computer I have cause it tends to quite booting a lot so I tear it open and mess with everything until it starts again.

    Pulled the video card, still no boot.

    The HDD is unplugged. When I hit the key to get into the bios it just dies. Dead motherboard?

    Im thinking Ill just part it out.

    Alright, this is my father's PC that he bought from IBuyPower a few years back. (big mstake, DO NOT buy from them) He says it's gotten harder to start latley so he quit turning it off. He turned it off last night to unplug a noisy fan and now it wont start. It fails either at or just past the BIOS screen!

    I tried some different ram, and replaced the CMOS battery. He bought a new puter from Walmart last night so Ive got his old one with me to troubleshoot. Any ideas? Surley its not the PSU or itd show some other symptoms. Motehrboard maybe? No beeps though.

    Any thoughts?

    Bobby, try a different quicky lube for inspection. Those underpaid greese monkeys are always looking for a little extra money if ya get what im sayin... ;)

    So I was out and about today in some stop and go traffic. Had a large milk container sitting beside me. Somethign like this, full of milk:

    The traffic is inching forward when i feel a few drops of somehitng come threw the window and hit me. Look over and there's milk runnin down the side of his trailer! Everytime he starts or stops milk would spew out the top! I call out to him over the CB that he's losin his load, but all he says is "He cant doing nothing about it". As traffic picks up he passes me and written on the back of the trailer is....

    Remeber, if milk can come out, who knows what is gettin in. Think of that next time you pick up a cold glass :thumbsup:

    it sounds as if the drive may be bad. Have you tried both CS and SLAVE settings?

    i've tried CS, SLAVE and MASTER settings. doesnt like any of them at all

    Is there a jumper to limit the HDD capacity? Try that incase your bios is having problems with the large drive. Still seems like it would atleast recognize it though...
