hi team i recieved this notice from my isp. so i telephoned them and they said it is affecting servers in other parts of the world in particular email attach. in this bulletin this email concerns our part of the world. but it picks out email addresses from what ever part of the world they attack so beware. hi chappy well i installed the xppro32bit version of windows but ile wait until you post it in the tutorial as a watered down version tho ile try once again that error notice has me stumped marty

hi team yes i followed arons info and it was installing fine then it stopped and said an error occured and the error was IO im not sure what that means but steve maby right but i do have an xp 32bit cd so i will load it on then if you dont mind i will get back to the thread and follow arons and chappys posts thanks all marty

hi ahulett so far i have got to the download of the WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe file but it is going to take 9 hrs . and im on dial up so i have a very wakeful night. or maybe wait until to morrow. thanks for the info ile have a go at it. i just installed win support tools and most of it is done in xp version of dos thanks again for the link marty

hi jeff to answer your Q'S [1] xppro 64bit service pack sp2 [2] insert the xp disk [3]type the line c:/i386\winnit32.exe\cmdcons [4]the reply i get is your cd version is older than the version on your sys press cancel to exit.. i presume this is because of all the updates. i read once where pete posted and said you need to slipstream the overall version of sp2. but this takes 8 hrs to load by dialup i have the recovery console on a bart pe ultimate disk but it is not transferable to my hdd. i really like to experiment. this morning i installed windows support tools . i remember once yo

hi jimras i also have the sp2 cd and when ever ive reinstalled i havent had any trouble tho it may help to set your up dates to automatic un til it is installed ide like to help but it has me stumped try setting your java and active x to default look in advanced and see if the java boxes are checked i understand sp2 needs java script. not sure if this will help hope you get it sorted marty

hi team ive run into a problem. for some time now ive tried to install the recovery console but each time i type the reqired path path. i get the message. your cd is an older version than the one on your sys i presume this is because of the up dates and sp2 is there some way round this thanks marty

thanks chappy yes ile keep you informed as the time nears. at the moment we are raising funds to bring more people, as you know canada is the showpeice of diabetic research . it has the best record of any country in the world rich or poor . in NZ we envy the candian research program on diabetes. and we aim to try and get up there. some where near them. it seems the ethnic groups are the worst affected . are cree indians a canadian ethnic group well they are the worst affected and the canadian gov is trying to arrest the spread of diabetes , among this group. god im getting carried away

hi team how many have the voice over options on their sys. i watched an interview. with the Ceo of a local telecomunications company. and his words broadband will be cheaper because of the voice over tech comming on stream. already his company is advertising the tech so to me this is exciting. as reading some of your comments in the past broadband is much cheaper in the usa than it is here . so im lookinh forward to it . any comments thanks marty ps is voice over options software cheap. it is here. lm

hi team yes the weather patterns are topsy turvey some time back in the winter i posted we hadent had a fall of snow all through the winter and all ski fields were closed and the space of one day. i had snow 1ft thick on my front lawn.unusual for my area. and all of a sudden the ski fields were open. so those patterns are unpredictable . i threw snow balls at the school children going past my gate and dammit i lost the snow ball war. we are lucky here as we dont get the falls as some of you do. because most of our land mass is near the sea. which makes for a warmer climate. but like J
