  1. A couple of days ago i installed the full 464 MB version of sp1 it went well , today i decided to reboot my system and upon bootup it went into a cycle so after i turned it off and back on windows gave a option for a system repair so i selected it ,all it did was a system restore to before sp1 installation . after i successfully booted up i checked windows update and sp1 is in cue (65-427 mb)

the question is shall i install it from update or just wait ?

  2. so you can boot a cd and mount the root partition, have you run FSCK ?

    is this disk (0,0 ) (or hda0 )

i can boot to a cd and mount both partitions , I thought it was a HD crash

I dont know if it is disk (0,0) or hda

I have not run the fsck yet , how do you run it

  4. Or I can stick a stamp on an envelope and it'll get there. For now, at least, that's the better choice for me.

Id say the federal mail service is a bigger "chain of problems" ;)

Also, the "Forever Stamp" will actually cost MORE to the consumer if purchased as an "investment" for later use. Here's why:

While the USPS may not have to "Apply" to raise rates, they cannot raise it more than inflation.

the stamp cost the same as a regular stamp , why is it a bad investment ?
