But... what is wrong with taking history classes?

Woo-Hoo! The test results came in for the AP US History test and I got a 5 out 5!
Basically I have credit now for about 6 credit hours in US History at most colleges so I don't have to take any more history!
Holy Potatoes! A 5 on the test AND going to NC State!
Well done and very impressive!

No doubt, where would the human race be without all the different types of poop?

Thanks, really reassuring to someone about to go to Japan!
I am never going to get in one of those chairs, now. Or maybe they just do that to men?
hehehehe

But look on the bright side of drinking water - poop is not all that bad for us anyway...

Hmm. Would rather have the ostrich.

Hmm, get it where you can.
I have been busted before twice by people who "used" work for my Father.
Nope, no ticket.
I know it is cheating, but like I said, you take what you can get!

Mine looks different, of course, but Run Command is towards the bottom, between Printers and Faxes
and Scroll Programs.
7 lines from the bottom.

Yep, reformating worked. Now it is only restricting 4MB.
I will remember that next time, and also only store files for short amounts of time.
Thank for your help.

Jeez, guys, just joking...
not even one laugh?
sigh.
all right let me try to reformat that bugger...
-
OK, that is my C drive, right?
let me try it

My other 1GB shows 969 MB free when it is empty.
OK, I can understand 6MB of unaccessible space per 1GB, but why is the other drive being so ding dong restrictive?
Should I format it?
thanks

K
let me check my other drive
never thought of that

I do not see any hidden files.
I have not tried to reformat. Is that the only answer?
Thanks,

I have a Sandisk Cruzer Mini 1.0 GB Flash Drive which shows no files on it, but is registering 371 MB of used space on it.
There are no files to delete. This once could hold up to 1GB with no problem, but now it is limiting me to 604 MB. How can I fix this?

I am not familiar with Linux. Can I run Photoshop, Dreamweaver and an Office Suite? I have MS, Wordperfect and Works. I am open to trying other comprable programs. I did not like GIMP though.
Because I am so clueless about other OS, I would like to stick with XP. But, if other OSs are simple, I could give that a try. What would you suggest, bearskin?
Thanks also for the link on OpenOffice. I guess nothing is totally secure.

Won't the other OEM CDs have drivers not needed on the laptop? Because the hard drive is so tiny, I am trying to keep everything to a minimum.
Thanks

France will win.
But Italy is scary.................

I have the original cds that were sold with the machine. There are 3 Toshiba recovery cds, including applications and drivers. I feel that if I use these cds, all of the Toshibaware will be stuck right back on the dingdong thing.

if you can get your hands on an OEM xp disk, use that to reinstall along with the COA(key) on the bottom of the laptop. That would be the best route, it would leave you with a very clean bare install of xp.
If you are not able to get an OEM disk, I would check with add/remove programs to see if you can delete any unwanted programs. In all honesty, you probably do not need any of the toshiba processes(need is very personal to you). I have a toshiba laptop and do not use any of the original programs that came with it. If you leave them, I doubt they are using a whole lot of resources.

I have acquired a used, three year old Toshiba Satelite 1415 notebook.
The previous owner used it only for email and Spider Solitaire, and has made no adjustments whatsoever to it...
Toshiba has been "kind" enough to provide many Toshiba services, including Toshiba Power Saver, which disables the Power Options (via Control Panel). How do I disable this? When googling it, I found that it could not be done... Yet I am still hopeful.
Also, how can I determine which Toshiba processes I can avoid using without damaging the functionality of the device? It seems like half of the running processes are Toshiba this or Toshiba that.
The notebook has a screaming 20GB hard drive, and is running XP. I can not even fit my music on the thing. If I reinstall windows and the drivers, it will just put all of the crap right back on it, right?
I want the laptop to be able to go online, run Dreamweaver, MS Office and Photoshop. Should I switch to OpenOffice to save space?
Thanks!

Is there a way to lock my folders in to always showing the same properties of the files and folders inside?
I want all of my folders to always list the file size and bit rate, etc.
Happy Birthday Sari!
