hi there,
in reference to your question dealing with the Yahoo entries, the RedClientsApp section is the concern, Red Clients is a form of spyware. it tracks the websites you go to so that spam can be sent to your email account that is on record with Yahoo.
By fixing these entries, it removes the red client app, but keeps your homepage set to Yahoo like you want.

xchat is listed on the windows listing for the irc clients, thank you for your input though. of course last I knew xchat was under suspicion for hijacking attempts.

what text box are you talking about? as I showed you in the thumbnail, on my first post on this thread, you would do as it shows.
First box is the website, second box would be teh name of your website(i.e. webopedia)
then it places teh url line in your response box.

some people here may be thinking how do I get to the chat room, well obviously we have the chat applet and then there are stand alone clients too.
chat applet, not a stand alone program you can access it here chat applet
then for those of you who don't have one or would like your own stand alone chat program you can always download these.
mIRC this is a shareware program thought usually you can use it for more then the 30 days they say you can. this is the most popular client out
IceChat Totally free stand alone program. not as many scripts availble for it however they have a nice forum and scripts available.

I have also found some for those of you who prefer Mac over a PC
and for those of you out there that use off the wall systems this will help

actually all you have to do is right click on the address bar and select copy, that will do it too.

hehe, i have a cannon bjc-4400 series, I refill my cartridges until it doesn't work anymore, which is about 15 times, then I buy a new cartridge, 10 bucks for black 20 bucks for the colors, its the actual cartridge holder that kills me, I have bought two of them in teh last 5 years, one was faulty when I bought it, those are 60 bucks a piece. but I can't afford the printer I really want, nor do I have the room for it on my computer destk. lol

i have the same problem, everything is fine cable connections, updated drivers, bios is recognising it, a new floppy for my home built system is 20 bucks, so I am eplaing it, I did a diagnotic program that i had lying around, don't ask me the name becasue I dont' remember right off the top of my head, it told me the disk drive was fried, which sucks since it was a new disk drive to start with. not doing anything with it right now as I am moving in 2 weeks, but where I am moving to I will have about 300 floppy dirves to check it with. I even swapped it to another computer, which was the dead giveaway that it was fried. heh, I dont' trust all my diganostic tools.

Hello Marko and welcome to Besttechie.net,
we need to do this in a couple of steps to get you cleaned up.
First, Please Download Spybot:Search and Destroy make sure its updated then let it scan your system completely, when it asks for premission to run when you restart your computer select yes and then restart your computer.
Next please go do an online scan at TerndMicro let it scan your computer completely.
after that Please download CWshredder update it and run it.
then please put Hijack This in its own directory as robroy suggested. Do the following to do this:
click on Start
my computer
click on C:Local Hard Drive
then click on File, slect New Folder. name it HJT or Hijack
Now you have a folder called Hijack or HJT, please move Hijack This to that folder.
Then post a new log in this Thread, Please do not start a new thread.

ok, I must be naive, what is the big deal about the Gmail accounts anyway, isn't just another email account, which I have 3 of an only really use two of them anymore. if you can't give me an answer that would be clearly defined then send me a pm and i will take one off of your hands.
Dsl Or Direcway Sattelite ?

I would recommend going with dsl over the satelite. with dsl you can still have your lan network set up, I have that right now with 2 wireless computers going at the same time.
With satelite you always have the possibility of dropped connections when a strong storm comes over. so that would be a benefit of going dsl.
Just my 2 cents worth good luck on your decision.
