Thanks Hitest! How do I know (and change, if needed) if my computer is set to boot from a cd?
-
Hey all, I want to be checkin out Linux in the near future; and I need some help...
I get what I'm supposed to do with the ISO; but when looking at ftp://ftp.webtrek.com/pub/mirrors/knoppix/
there is a corresponding file ending in md5. What I want to know is, what do I do with this file? How do I burn it to a CD? And, after burning everything to the CD, can I just pop it in and start using Knoppix? Thanks.

Yes, they plan to use it in the PS3; but poeple are upset cause that my make it unable to play DVDs...

AWEFUL!!!!!
Never mind. It sounds just like a robot, despite the claims. It requires you to copy and paste what you want read into another window (will not just read what is shown on screen) and the app is bulky and ugly.

Hey, all.
Say you just got home from a long day of work (or school) and you want to check your email. you have 50+ new messages you have to read, and they are unfairly long. Well, with this app I found, it will read your email to you! (I have yet to try it, but will post when do) It supposedly doesnt sound robotic or monotonous. It can read from your email, browser, word processor, spreadsheet, etc....
I will be trying it our soon
oh ya... FREEWARE!

Hi CGM3,
Whois Definition: A searchable database maintained by registries and registrars that contains information about domain name registrations in the com, net, org, edu, and ISO 3166 country code top-level domains. Also, the protocol, or set of rules, that describes the application used to access the database.
A whois database:

You can also lookup IP addresses and It will tell you info about the ISP and stuff... pretty handy if you want to report a hacker (and you got their IP addy) cause it gives a phone number and emial address to contact the ISP.

Its a WhoIs lookup; but why did you post it?

Just wondering, does firefox keep anything similar to the IE "index.dat" files? Or, does just clearing cache, history (and everything else) completely clear tracks?
Also, if firefox does kepp an similar type of record, how do I clear them?
-
I saw something similar on TSS, and it didnt look like it worked too well...

Cow is askin (I think) "if you could have a pice of software to do anything you'd like, what would it do?"
It's a good question; I'll have to ponder it a bit...
