novi
Greetings all,I have a friend who wants to add more ram to his computer. He has a Dell precision workstation 340 1.7GHZ 512MB PC 800. 400MHz ecc 184 pin(2x256). I know not too many systems use rd ram, and that it must be put in pairs. My question is, is Samsung ram quality or not? I found a kit for $207.00 (2x256) at Memory suppliers.com. I looked around elsewhere and found kingston for $300.00 (geeze). any help in this matter would be appriciated. Thanks,Pat Edited September 30, 2006 by novi
TheTerrorist_75
Believe it or not Samsung is one of the major memory manufacturers. They actually make memory for other big name memory suppliers who just rebrand with their name.
novi
Thanks TT,I appreciate the input. I cant believe the price of ram. It was kingston not corsair I found for the higher price ram. Dell's price for ram was even higher than Kingston. This is one reason I do not like proprietary machines.thanks,Pat
