neonash7777
Okay I know of Toast from Roxio, but it's expensive and I'd make a horrible pirate(I can't even Argh!). All I want it a possibly free or like 20$ app that can burn VCD's (visual/movie CD's) so I can watch them on my portable DVD player. But I'm not sure... Can someone help.Do I even need an app to do it or can I just burn them on a CD in the proper folder names and it'll work? Do they have to be a specific video file type?Any help would be much appreciated, THANKS :-)
iccaros
I found in a diffrent forum the answer I think you are looking forhttp://forums.macrumors.com/archive/index.php/t-14756.htmlhere is the meat I think you need. its half way downYou can create VCD/SVCD and DVD usingFree software on Mac OS X.You will need:mjpegtools http://mjpeg.sf.net/vcdimager http://www.vcdimager.org/and finally to burnhdiutil, disc copy or cdrtools.hdiutil and disc copy are included in Mac OS X.I wrote the AltiVec optimizations to the MPEG2encoder in mjpegtools. You can check outthe slightly out of date benchmarks athttp://klicman.org/altivec/add----link to the gui frontendhttp://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo...9&vid=49488 Edited September 18, 2006 by iccaros
