bearskin
has anyone ever tried this?not that I'm paranoid but I am cautioushttp://www.browzar.com/
JDoors
Sure sounds too good to be true ....Browzar is free, it only takes seconds to download and you don’t even need to install it, so you can download Browzar time and time again, whenever and wherever you need it to protect your privacy. And it's only 264K?!? Microsoft should hire that programmer RIGHT NOW.
bearskin
well I tried it. nice browser for what it does. can't change home page. can't paste. if you want to type in all your urls it is good. it allows printing. just a very simple browser for people who don't want to be tracked. jcl
And it's only 264K?!? Microsoft should hire that programmer RIGHT NOW.The IE6 executable is ~91 KiB. The bulk of IE is in the browser components that were famously integrated into Windows. Browzar appears tiny only because it uses, but doesn't distribute, a subset of the same components. Good example of the benefits of modular design. IE, that is. Not Browzar. Edited September 1, 2006 by jcl
Dan72
if you can go to windows update and succefully check your updates it uses IE and not independent from it and you are at risk like IE
Sir_Siddy
I just saw something on Digg.com where it said that it had adware. Be careful and look up that article on digg before you install it.
TheTerrorist_75
It is in bed with Yahoo's paid search (Overture). Bad browser.
JDoors
A slightly reassuring note from Spyware Info.
