Power Supply Voltages(low?)

I noticed my pcprobe moniter(asus utility) popped up. It said my voltages for my 3.3 rail dipped below 3.0 for just a bit. It is now registering about 3.04. My 12.0 rail is registering about 12.6. Should I be concerned about these readings?

I wouldn't be concerned. Voltages will vary as long as its nothing crazy from normal

yesterday, my 3.3 voltage was getting as low as 2.7 for short periods. I also was noticing my harddrive stopping and starting(I could hear it). It would not crash my system. but everything would lock for a minute. This morning I replaced it, all is well.

Normally; I get concerned if voltages go more than 10% off from specs. I like to see them within 5%

Has a good table note that they say a loose tolerance is -10% to + 8% and the tight tolerance is +/- 5 %

Offhand, I would say you probably have an overloaded 3.3V rail and should either consider removing something that draws on it or buying apower supply with a bit more oomph.

I skimmed that article, lots of good information. I had know idea that dells made between 1996 and 2000 apperaed to use a standard atx power supply, but was not. A standard power supply would fit, but you would end up frying your electronics,
