For some unimportant reason I was singing the "Slinky" song last night at work: "Alone or in pairs it walks down stairs and makes a slink-ity sound ... "

(But now, due to the Internet and its ubiquotous parodies, I ALSO can't forget the parody of that song -- it's about an adult toy ... )

Oh yeah, I started off, again for some unimportant reason, singing the "Good 'n' Plenties" song: "Charlie says, 'love my good 'n' plenties,' Charlie says, 'really rings the bell,' Charlie says, 'love my good 'n' plenties don't know any other candy that I love so well.'"

*does the good and plenty hand shake* even though I don't have a box of good and plenties. Doggone it , Jdoors, you're going to have that Slinky song stuck in my head, now!

Got 12 1/2 right --instead of Beetle for the VW nickname I chose "Slug Bug" and "Bug"

Thanks, Marty!

As an Uncle it's my responsibility to pass on annoying habits and that game definitely qualifies. It's like they don't teach kids anything important in school nowadays!

Just this past weekend I went to a party and saw someone I hadn't seen in over ten years. One of the things she brought up was something I taught her kids way back then. We had a good laugh over that one.

:D And of course, Aunts and Uncles are obligated to get their nieces and nephews the noisy and messy toys for Christmas (finger paint is a must-have)! One sister still hasn't forgiven me for sending her boys the game, "Risk". Am I going to tell her we now have a no-mess computer version? Nope.

Thanks for the brain exercise Marty.

Indeed I was THERE during the era.

I only forgot # 1 and 10.

Guess my memory isn't as bad as I thought.

I'm older than I thought. I only missed 1,7,8 and 10. For some reason, I was thinking 8 should have been Dizzy Gillespie, and I should have received extra credit for 13, as I named the Big Bopper and Richie Valens.
