Interesting idea -- It doesn't expose much of a target if you're the one hiding around the corner. Watching it peek around a corner from the perspective of the target was unnerving, vaguely reminded me of the "eye" in War of the Worlds.

That looks pretty cool ... I'd imagine it takes some practise shooting from looking at the screen like that with the recoil and all but.. Still looks cool. I've seen different versions of that gun too I think.

The older Israeli system seems more practical. A standard rifle, a rail-mounted camera, and a display monocle. Hold the gun around the corner and shoot.

recoil ought not be too bad. It looks like they are using Glocks and Berretas in them things and glcoks have low recoil and I think the Berreta does too.

Humans have been at war for millenia, there have been innocent victims for millenia, I'd guess we'll continue with that policy for millenia. Looks like it's in our nature.

and a statement from the

israeli defence minister quote

we have to eliminate

innocent people. wouldnt that be a bit drastic

who ever used this policy

i found iraq was a good example of that

because of the war 17.000 [these are american figures]

the bbc uk says it is more like 20.000

iraqi citizens have been eliminated

shouldnt we try and work towards

peace among races

and not be so agressive

if some one murders or harms another person

we put them in jail

but when a president or prime minister

or a defense minister wages war

we glorify them

what is the difference

my passion is peace among the races

and we need to take a look at the way things are today

in the days of bows and arrows

we were able to control arms

but today with neuclear weapons

we are doomed

sorry for making this a bit long

there are things about weapons i dont understand

and they need to be controlled

in my country weapons are banned from

the ordinary citizen

even the police are not allowed to carry them on the street

apart from specail forces

and it has worked

from the city i live in

2 shootings

in two years with illigal weapons

The Germans had something similar in WWII but used mirrors instead of LCD video. They also tried curved barrels. In the end it did not prove to be as important as they hoped. After all, most of the time in combat it is not shooting around corners ; you use grenades and artillery for that. The average grunt shoots in front of himself to keep the other guy down; or fires from concealment and cover at the guy charging at him.
