It said to check config.log to see the exact error but the log seems to be a few pages long. I Could copy the text into here if you guys need it.
Sir_Siddy
OK I found out what GLib was. It seems to be part of the GTKWell you need GTK to run Gimp and ubuntu has GIMP. So isnt GTK installed?
naraku9333
If your on ubuntu why not install through apt? sudo apt-get install libglib2.0-dev should solve the problem. Edited June 15, 2006 by naraku9333

So isnt GTK installed?you have your gtk runtimes(term?) installed. You probably need to install the gtk developmentals. Sir_Siddy
I got the error that gtk-config is not a command. Would this mean gtk is not installed?
shanenin
gtk-config is probably part of the devlomental package. you only need the developmental package if you are compiling a program that depends on gtk. If you are running gnome, you do have the gtk installed(not the developmentals)this should install you gtk-1.2 developmentalssudo apt-get install libgtk1.2-devthis for gtk -2.0sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev Edited June 15, 2006 by shanenin
