martymas Posted November 10, 2004 Report Share Posted November 10, 2004 ho team recently i installed the beta version of avg7.and it was working well until just now i turned my compt on and a notice came up saying avg had fialed to initialise .i tried al ways to get it working but it was no go. so i uninstalled it and loaded avast so if any one loads the avg7 beta watch for this.yes i agree it is the beta version so we have to watch out for things like that.personally i find there isnt much difference except this version of avast uses 18 megs .where as avg only uses 9 megs.so in size alone avast is a hell of a lot bigger than avg.when avg comes on stream i will go back to it.dont get me wrong avast is a good appli.but for a new user with a limited amount of megs.this can be a big appli.and i might add a slower scanner. marty Quote Link to post Share on other sites
