shanenin
if any of you feel like taking the McAfee spyware quiz here is a link.http://www.siteadvisor.com/spywarequizI got 7 out of 8 correct. If I would have goolged a little bit before choosing, I am sure I would not have missed anyedit added later//the one I missed was an activex installed spyware. Those are next to impossible to spot. I suppose with google I could have figured it out. It is not practical to research and google every link before we visit. Just a thought, 95% of my websurfing is using linux with firefox, that spyware does not have a chance Edited April 27, 2006 by shanenin
Matt
Saw this at GeekstoGo. The only one I missed was the lyric site.

blim
6 out of 8! But, gosh, I really guessed (persnickity about mispelled words on sites)---how can one really tell?Liz
Matt
how can one really tell? It's actually quite hard--this is why so many people get infected. A good givaway is big annoyings banners that want to give you something free. If a site wants to install an ActiveX opject, you should only do it if you know and trust the site. Many of the ones I knew because I'd been to them before
