shanenin
The only issue I say with the first one was visual. it only has conecters two of the three notches. I never saw one like that before. I found this card I think I am going to get ithttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...mMakeTrack=true
Dragon
my personal opinion go with the Nvidia card, Connectors for the AGP slot, plus the original card is an nvidia chipset.
shanenin
I agree saving 2 dollars on the card is not workth getting an inferior one.
Pete_C
I agree saving 2 dollars on the card is not workth getting an inferior one.an 8MB video card ? Well of $2.99 I guess you can't lose.Features/Specifications: ATI 3D Rage Pro Turbo AGP Video CardGeneral Features:Rage Pro Turbo AGP Graphics controllerAGP interface8 MB memory32-bit true color (16.7 million colors)3D graphics up to 1280 x 1024High-speed 64-bit 2D acceleration to power all your business applicationsThis is an old AGP 1.0 AND 2x card often the voltage on these is different than 4x and 8x cards and if you put it in a 4x or higher slot it will fry and may take the motherboard with it.Do you currently have the TNTM64? This is a 32MB AGP 4x card http://support.gateway.com/s/VIDCARD/Visio...600123108.shtmlPower 3.3 VDesigned to install in either a 1.5- or a 3.3-volt interface. This is the one you have now or shouldI couldn't find the voltage specs for that one But would not be surprised if it is the old one which is not compatible with new slots.Ahh, here it is http://www.directron.com/15agpguide.htmlThe ones with two Keys is the one you found . It is a "not 1.5V" Older 2X AGP cards do not use the right voltage to function properly in the newer 1.5V AGP slots. If forced into a 1.5V AGP slot, a non-1.5V compliant video card will damage the motherboard. On the other hand a 1.5V AGP card is usually backwards compatible with older 2X AGP slots. shanenin
This is what the specs say for this computerType of Card and Bus ATX – AGP 1X, 2X, and 4Xdoes that mean any type of card will work?edit added later//after rereading your post, and checking the links, this card seems to be 1.5 volt. So it should not harm any motherboard. Thanks for the links :-) Edited March 11, 2006 by shanenin
Honda_Boy
if it is 4X that means pratically any AGP card is compatible which that's what it looks like BUT, if it is 2X, Many 8X cards won't physically fit and if it has a 8X slot, which I doubt, no 2X card will fit.
