spirittoo
I was checking out pricewatch to see how much a cpu upgrade would run. I have the Intel D845HV mobo and have 1.4 Ghz pcu.According to the manual (page 21) I can upgrade to a 2.0 400Mhz 256K Cache .... the problem is I can't find a mPGA 478pin 2.0Ghz 400Mhz 256K cpu the most I could find was the cpu with a 512K cache. Can my mobo handle that? Thank you for your time.

Dragon
It depends on what you are running as to whether or not it's noticeable
spirittoo
Well I do a lot of things on line like posting on forums and downloading and listening to internet radio while surfing the web.I have a dvd burner that I use a lot. Would there be a difference in that? Thanks
Dragon
you would see more increase in using graphics programs, compilers, video editing programs, the dvd burner, because of the cache size.if you were doing more accounting type programs, or working on a database you would see more improvement.
