Would using an xp home disk to do a upgrade be the correct way to fix corrupt files? Will choosing to do an upgrade keep the key that was already being used, or will it ask for a new key? I did a repair of a dell the other day, I had no dell cd, I used a xp home disk I had, rebooted to the CD, chose repair console and run chkdsk /r.It reapired the files I needed to get it to boot.MichaelLOL...
