Do you have a copy of Knoppix? If you do you can use QTParted to remove all partitions and format the drive. Also hooking it upa as slave to another PC you can format from My computer by right clicking the drive and choosing to format it.

http://killdisk.com/ it has step by step directions

hi ='Mainter'

i made the kill disk

but my problem is

i canot get to the bios nor can i get dos.

i can get a boot up screen.

but once it boots

i get the messgae wrong sys disk replace it then press

enter

ive tried the win 98cd and the format floppy

but that message is the same

so i either need another mobo.

or a hdd

ive already trie 2 hdds

the mobo was working prior to

me fdisking and formating

but that wrong sys disk has me stumped

maybe if i hooked it up to my own sys and

and killdisked it from there

what do you suggest

marty

i trie kill disk

but what ever disk i use floppy or cd

i get the message

invalid sys disk- insert disk and try again

one of the problems is i have no dos nor

bios to know what option i have.

i tried preston suggestion

i put the hdd in my compt

as the slave

and it let me format.

but the results was the same- wrong sys disk

i think i need to install dos

but the disk i downloaded from a post bearskin sent

is the wrong one.

so right now im lost
