Need Help With Nero To Burn Dvd

Recommended Posts

My friend is trying to burn a DVD. He has some videos that he wants to put on a disk. When we fire up Nero and tried to put it in the area to copy we get this message:

"The following files may not reside in the VIDEO_TS directory of a DVD-VIDEO compilation: Out of Athens-Part2 MPG

Only compliant DVD-VIDEOfiles (VIDEO-TS.IFO', 'VIDEO_'VTS_ ....) can be added to the VIDEO_TS folder. Please add files from a completed DVD-VIDEO title or use a authoring software like Nero Vision Express to create DVD-VIDEO files from standard video files as *avi and *mpg."

What does this mean? Do I need another program besides Nero?:blink:

You need to get the MPG files converted to VOB and IFO files that the DVD player will be able to read. You just can't drop any files into VIDEO_TS.

Import the video using Nero Vision, follow the wizard and the application should encode the video into DVD-readable format.

Have not installed Nero Vision yet .... I will do so and let you know what happens. Thanks

Tried doing the import thing but still couldn't get it to work. Do you know where I can get more info on Nero?

Can I make copies of movies with it or do I need another program besides nero?

Thank you for your time.
