fubz Posted December 11, 2005 Report Share Posted December 11, 2005 My computer keeps locking up, i have checked for virus, and spyware, both up to date, and have nothing. My computer just randomly locks up one program, then its a domino effect, and it wont even restart. This is rediculous. blim Posted December 11, 2005 Report Share Posted December 11, 2005 Shots in the dark here...*kablammmm* Since you just recently reinstalled windows, and if it's a gaming machine, I assume you added lots of funstuff--maybe defrag? I know XP isn't supposed to get fragged up easily, but it certainly couldn't hurt anything! Have you tried that "checkdisk" gadget (however the geeky spelling is--I THINK its CHKDSK or something, XP's version of ScanDisk) Drivers up to date after reinstallation?Liz Quote Link to post Share on other sites
