Affected battery packs can experience an internal short, causing the battery cells to overheat and melt or char the plastic case. This poses a burn and fire hazard to the user. For details about this recall, how to determine if your product is affected, and what to do if your product is affected, visit http://www.recalls.org/elec172.htm. JDoors
Am I the only one who's noticed "... manufactured in China ..." has become synonymous with "buyer beware?" Lead paint on toys, exploding batteries, melting appliances, broken bicycle frames, etc. It seems the only thing common among recalls lately is the "made in China" label. (Or is it just that most products nowadays are made there so you would expect this?)
