Knoppix Question

I am trying out Knoppix for the first time. v3.9.

When I boot up I get the message "You passed an undefined mode number

Press <Return> to see available video modes, Press SPACE to continue"

I googled it but, figured I'd just ask the expert's here.

Second, this happen because your kernel doesn't support enhanced text mode for your graphic card. Maybe it's just because your kernel doesn't contain the right option, or maybe you're just bad lucky.

You can fix this problem temporarily, by reading the second post in the link, but I recommend you getting another LiveCD like SLAX:

You can also manually enter some settings for x windows when knoppix first boots up.

At the knoppix boot prompt instead of just hitting your enter key type F2.

A help screen will open up and you can try to manually enter settings for your graphics card, some suggestions are listed on the screen.
