X-Cannon
How much space does this E-mail program have? because Yahoo has 100mb and thats a lot.
Snaxe
Thunderbird does not give you an email address. You use it to check your email with an already existing email address. For example, you can get a Yahoo address, and then use Thunderbird with it to check your email. If you plan on using it with either Yahoo or Hotmail, google [whichever] popper. WiredMonkey
Yes, what Snaxe said...it's a program, just like Outlook or Outlook Express or Eudora, etc., etc. You have to plug your email into it (POP3 account) and it goes out and checks it for you, downloads it to your computer, displays it for you in pretty ways. So, that's the deal. I'm still working on getting it to functions smoothly; I have it set to check mail every 10 minutes, but it isn't doing it still. For a full-fledged program, this sure *acts* a lot like beta software. *sigh* But, the interface is nice and it's not too bulky, so I'm still okay with it.
Snaxe
I thought it was still beta? I tend to assume if a software version is under 1.0 it's still beta..Thunderbird supports IMAP too if you want/have one of those.
WiredMonkey
Snaxe:Could be - I haven't seen anything on the website proclaming it as beta, which Firefox did, but it's very possible they just assumed people knew, or it was on there at one time and it isn't for some reason now. Either way, I'm not complaining loudly
Nerelda
I believe it's still Beta....he's the final release roadmap:Thunderbird Roadmap
WiredMonkey
Thanks Nerelda! I hadn't seen that on the website when I was looking for it after it was mentioned that it might be a beta release. It's good to have that information! Hopefully 0.9 will be out this week then... Nerelda
Wired Monkey, I went on a deep search when I saw something about beta posted here as well. It took a while to find, but I was determined to get that link. I just KNEW I had seen it somewhere.
