So, some drama today, huh?

I know a lot of you guys are confused and a lot of you guys are pissed, and a lot of you guys are both. Obviously there's been some misinformation going around and I thought it'd be a good idea to help clear some of it up. So, here we go:

It was posted in the Maintenance board (a forum for moderators and admins to coordinate) that we'd be making some changes to the boards today. You guys can see the results of those changes by looking around the forums. Basically we've tried to streamline everything and get rid of redundant boards. So, since we knew we were getting Call For Help, the Tech Support forum should just be renamed to reflect that, which is what happened.

Unfortunately, when that message got sent out to moderators, it wasn't complete. It wasn't any kind of malicious act, it's just a "whoops, forgot to type that part" kind of deal. Then, even more unfortunately, someone decided to make that confidential and incomplete information public, and now we're seeing the fallout from that. So, here's where we are now:

The Tech Support board has become the Call For Help board, as has always been the plan.Call For Help, along with Robot Wars, Future Fighting Machines, and Nerd Nation are going to start airing on G4 in the USA at the end of this month! (August 29th, I think. Keep an eye on the online schedule) Judging from the tons of email and PMs I've gotten about wanting the show back in the states, I'm guessing that's got to make some people happy. And yes, Call For Help will be NEW episodes.

What kind of naive gullible idiots does D think people are? Call For Help has always been in the plan....sure folks!!!... and there must be plenty of swamp land and broken down bridges to sell too.

Anyone who has watched the debacle that G$ made of TTV and our CFH and SS shows, and their corresponding boards, should know he's full of hot air or something.

If they had any plans to do CFH, and contracts were signed, and schedules made for it, then why did they try to pull the rug out from under the very tech support board and it's mods and board people who would have been their best advertising for show and new board?

This didn't have anything to do with Chappy's early warning copy of their plans!!!

And why did D or anyone at G$ wait so long today to explain the rest of the story??

It was their ridiculous stupid sense of pulling wool over peoples eyes as if we (or they?) were 10 year olds on the playground pulling practical jokes on classmates.

They must have fired the marketing team so they could pull this on everyone instead.

The way they treated our favorite mods, and the way they are treating the Tech Support people, plus their new porn for kids lax rules, shows their skunk stripes, it all smells like a skunk too.

I am sorry for being so upset, was doing sort of ok earlier, but this malarkey of D's is the final straw. But it does prove they are still not worth bothering with. Not then when they ruined TTV, CFH, SS, and the boards we loved, and not now. As for the TV channel, I don't even know if it is still on Dish Network, and don't much care. By the way, if CFH is returning I bet it would only be because of original contract interest that Charlie Ergen of EchoStar/Dish Network had in it. I very much doubt this gaming channel wanted it at all, past, present or future.

So if anyone over there believes any of this pc pr from whomever there, then please don't cry when that rug is pulled out from under you, that's just the way it is done at G$ to people that put any trust in their word.

So sad how they treated people, but not surprising unfortunately.

The reason why I am more interested in a smaller tech community is because of today's events. I almost gave less than two "shits" (a slight reference, for those unable to keep up, which is an unlikely event in this place) about all of the moving, until the people posting screwed up the chance.

As you remember, we had two avenues (that had actual response times, unlike the Fresh Gear forum, which I had to populate with long answers so people would get somewhat of a message) to ask questions at our lovely G4oria; one was The Screen Savers, and the other was Tech Support.

Then things started evolving, or should I say, devolving. People had to post questions in the Tech Support forum, while I mostly committed to the new comers in the TSS/AOTS forum (while unfortunately trying to argue sense with music players-something I loathe doing due to its unreal amount of redundancy), while sometimes (if I had time), flung to the Tech Support and Fresh Gear forums.

People started covering more Entertainment Tonight-esque threads rather than discussing anything interesting at all with technology. Tech Support couldn't cover such a thing, and Off Topic was a place filled with kids who still hate girls, but want girls with large boobies. So, I took some time off, while catching up with the few remaining fun people (mostly Shadowlord, In_Utero, LetterK, MrMisc, and a couple others).

Now this happened. I thought, "good, tech support questions will come flooding in AOTS". Well, this apparently wasn't going to happen, and OT/Social started having fun. I was not aware of this part for a while, but then I wondered if things would get better over there. They had this stupid war against each other, like two pompus kids.

What was the amazing development of the day? I can say "shit", and boy did everyone seem to jump for joy at that. Oh, then we can post porn...and ever so slightly did the young boys think with their johnsons.

G4 is evidently turning into something far worse than Viacom's creations, and I am surely surprised Call for Help is even on the roster. Big tits, big asses, and little pimple faced kids are in, anyone who uses their brain for the good of anyone else is out.

This is halarious. Public relations has never been one of G4's strong suits, has it? I mean, they could simply have announced that Call for Help was returning to the U.S. and would air on G4, and people would have rejoiced at the news.

But no! What do they do instead?

They allow a draft copy of an announcement to be seen by the mods, who are outraged by the misinformation in the draft, so much so, that they blow their tops and shoot themselves in the foot. Now these mods are leaving G4 just as Tech is returning to G4.

My friend, they are *Letting People Vent!!!!* as not to lose as many members as they might have.. This happened atleast once before if I remember correctly..

Possibly when all is said and done, they *Will Enforce Strick Rules* once again or

come close to it, if not their loss...

It no longer matters to those that *Really Care*..

I'm sure alot of the *New Comers* there, the younger ones complained about how

the *Strick the Elders Were* about the Rules because that was the way it was when the Elders signed up so the Elders were that way with the Forums When the *New Comers Came*...

All will be well, when it is all said and over with..
