martymas Posted August 13, 2005 Report Share Posted August 13, 2005 hi team ive got a funny problem here i copied data from the windows folders to a cd and the cd is loaded but when ever i reboot a get this notice you have files to be written to the cd.which ive already done how do i stop this notice from comming up apart from reinstalling is it safe to delete that windows folders with out it compromising my sys.ive tried to delete the temp files in safe mode but im having a bit of a puzzle ive tried google and win support the notice says cannot delete ebdit is in use by anotherprogram close any program that might be using the file and try again ive done that 12 times.im not sure what program is using the file apart from me tryibg to delete it any ideas.marty Quote Link to post Share on other sites

martymas Posted August 13, 2005 Author Report Share Posted August 13, 2005 wrong area, but burn the disk agian and see if the error goes away. by the way what software are you using for burning CD's?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>=iccaroshi thanks for posting .xp has nero built into the sys i originally installed deepburner i dont know how to use nerobut it was taking over my rip and burning and i couldnt get deep burner to work as a default burner what has happened now i had to delete those windows files indiviuallyor copy files whichive aready cleared its taken 3 hrs my sys is clear now but so far i havent had any advers affect on my compt but i still need to burn that data i have to confess i hadent done it beforeso i should have posted and asked for advice before hand i thought it was just a matter of copy to the cd have you had experience with nero i found it quite daunting i like deepburner and i dont know how to get round this default thing xp has with nero the problemi found with microsoft they contract these appli to companys weather you like it or not .that is why i liked mandrakethe sys was there for you to use but there were issues i couldnt work out but ile get back there some day .as i said earlier ive fixed the problem but i still need to burn the data .if you could help i would very much appreciate iti think the cd copy constsed of 850mg1264 files and folders i had to delete individually not sure how to get round this nero thing thanks again marty Quote Link to post Share on other sites
