robshanahan
I bought an IOGEAR kvm switch the other night and noticed some degradation in video quality after installation. Is this common to all kvm switches or did I not spend enough money? Here's what I have.edit: sp
BitBangerUSA
the video degradation may be due to a combination of your video card, the cabling and the kvm switch and also the resolution your run at.don't know IOGear - i've heard that Belkin is good.you might want to try cabling as short as possible... that might help, might not. robshanahan
Thanks BitBangerUSA! A friend of mine has a Belkin switch I'm going to borrow. I'll see if there's any difference. The image just isn't quite as sharp as it should be and its kind of giving me a headache. I'll let you know if there's a difference.
CabDad
I have the IOGEAR model GCS14 and have noticed little or no difference in video loss, at least any that has been a concern.
