shanenin
to be honest, I have hardly ever used it. I have a linux box witha program called freevo. it turns my tv into a media center. One of the features it has it web radio, I thought it was shoutcast(I guess I am not really sure). below is part one of the files it uses<?xml version="1.0" ?><freevo> <audio title="Heavy Metal Radio"> <url>http://war.str3am.com:7080</url> <info> <description>HeavyMetalRadio.com - The Loudest Site On The Internet!!!</description> <link>http://www.heavymetalradio.com</link> <bitrate>128</bitrate> </info> </audio> <audio title="Metal Express"> <url>http://www.frequence3.fr</url> <info> <link>http://www.metalexpress.no</link> <bitrate>128</bitrate> </info> </audio></freevo>

I just happen to be running linux. I get the impression shoutcast does not play popular music, I may be wrong though.

blim
Hi Shanenin,I really don't know what you're talking about (surprised? ) but I showed this post to Son because he recently has been playing with internet radio---if it works for you, "good old Yahoo" has some radio sites that he really likes, and he likes everything from Swing to "now", leaning towards Classic Rock and Semi-Hard Rock. He started talking "tech-gobbly-goop" about them being Launchcast, or something like that, I got glassy eyed and remembered Yahoo If you want more info, I'll have him post the links (they're somewhere around here....), but I bet you can find Yahoo's Radio on your own!Liz
