Hi and Welcome, :D

You have an about:blank hijacker infection.

Please follow the directions given below step by step.

First please unhide hidden files and folders.

How To Unhide Hidden Files and Folders

Also, create a system restore point, if needed later.

To create a restore point:

1. All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore

2. Press Create a restore point and press Next.

3. In the Restore point description box, type a descriptive name to append to the date and time.

4. Press Create.

Second please download the following programs.

Download the Advanced Process Manipulation tool. Here

Download KillBox as well. Here

Note: Don't run either of these programs yet. Make sure you follow the directions on how to run them.

  • Save the Advanced Process Manipulation tool download to a place you'll know where to find it.
  • Double-Click the installer, follow the prompts.
  • Once installed, run the program by click on the apm icon in the folder
  • Go through the list of all the processes running until you find the process for the se.dll
  • Click that process, in the window underneath you will see the path of the se.dll file.
  • Click the path for the se.dll to highlight it, then right click the entry, and choose "Unload Dll"
  • Follow the prompts, until it says Done. Then click Ok. Close the program.

Note: the se.dll might be running in more than one process, if it is, then repeat the steps for each process that the se.dll file is in.

Then repeat the same steps you just did with se.dll for onea.dll

Next, run KillBox.

  • Save KillBox to a place you'll know where to find it, then double-click the KillBox icon, that will start the program.
  • Enter the following path in the file path box to delete: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\se.dll
  • Select Standard File Kill, and tick, End Explorer Shell While Killing File, Unregister .dll before deleting. Then click the red X.
  • Then click Exit, after it deletes the file.

Then after you remove the se.dll run KillBox again and enter this path C:\WINDOWS\system32\onea.dll - and select Standard File Kill, and tick, End Explorer Shell While Killing File, Unregister .dll before deleting. Then click the red X. Then click Exit, after it deletes the file.

Next, Run hijackthis again, click Scan. Check the boxes next to these entries. Then close all windows except HijackThis. Tell HijackThis to 'Fix checked'.

Thanks. Here is the new log. I am assuming the other onea.dll files at O18 are OK. If not, please let me know.

Hi and Welcome back,

Run hijackthis again, click Scan. Check the boxes next to these entries. Then close all windows except HijackThis. Tell HijackThis to 'Fix checked'.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sp] rundll32 C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\se.dll,DllInstall

O18 - Filter: text/plain - {7242CE33-3BCF-40F8-ADE2-AA200DC54F10} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\onea.dll

Then please download DllCompare from here:

http://www.besttechie.net/tools/DllCompare.exe

Save it to the desktop and run it. Click "Run Locate.com" to scan for DLL files. When the scan is finished, click "Compare". Finally, when that is complete, click "Make a Log of What Was Found". Then reboot and post the entire contents of the DllCompare log along with a brand new HijackThis log.

Good luck! B)
