Ie 8

I just spent two hours installing and uninstalling IE 8 three times.

Each time I would install and then tell it NOT to add all the crap add-ons (accelerator, etc.) But it did anyway. Then it kept trying to set Windows Live as my search engine even though I selected to keep Google.

Is there a way to JUST get the security features of IE 8 without all their garbage add-ons?
