murtu52
Lately, on my Gmail account, I've been getting one spam messege. I know, not a lot, but still, its quite annoying. It's something about getting a new job, and it says on the bottom, to get yourself off this mailing list, please send a messege here with the title REMOVE ME. I have done this many times, however I still get this messege. And, i don't really know HOW he got my email address, as for all account sign ups on websites i use spam email accounts. I was just wondering, is anyone else having this problem? and what are some things i can do to stop it?

blim
Hi Murtu52,In my experience (until Son said, "MOM don't respond to them!") what you did by "unsubscribing" often does work! Usually I would only get one more email which I would ignore, and thats the end of it. Guess it depends on the Spammer Liz
martymas
if you use OE there is a means to block them .tho they just change there address .have you tried mailwasher .it is supposed to bounce the mail back to the sender.but it dosent work if the spammers are big bizness they can afford to keep changing the address.what i did i have 3 email accounts .one in my inbox which i dont publish.and one i leave in my web mail and the other i use an alias.this tends to bounce it back to the sender.and of course my in box address which very few people know but i can assure you it dosent stop a trickle of mail getting throughpharmacy mail is the worst.have a talk with your isp.some of them sell your email address to spammers very lucritive bizness. marty.
