martymas Posted March 21, 2009 Report Share Posted March 21, 2009 in the past ive found this problem if the drive hasent been formatedif you havent a floppy drive you can get an external onecan you format the drive on another compt normally this needs to be done on the compt you are using the drive on or a compt with similiar componentsthe other solution is have you faciality for two hdds one with an operating sys windowsset the new drive as the slave and the one with the sys as the masteropen the biosand make the compt recognise the drivesonce that is done open you operating sys go to administrating tools compt managementdisk managementand format that new drive in therei feel this is windows answer to no floppy drive not sur if this will helpbut it is worth a trymarty Quote Link to post Share on other sites
