Just as when you use thunderbird or Mozilla mail when you click a link it will open firefox (if installed) or Mozilla as appropriate even if IE is set as default browser.

First try the approaches listed here

If that does not work try this

Note that Zone Alarm will cause your problem (inablity to get OE to open links in Firefox ) .

Do you have Zone Alarm???

Anyway, thanks for the reply-it works for now, we shall see if it stays that way. I used to have FF as default, don't know what changed it.

No, I don't have Zone Alarm, I traded it in for Comodo, which I like alot better.
